Teaching America to Shoot Safely
With your help, Daisy will continue to teach young and first time shooters the basics of gun safety and marksmanship skills. Together we can pass down a wonderful tradition by introducing yet another generations to the shooting sports...with a Daisy! It all starts here!
WE'VE TAUGHT OVER 7 MILLION YOUNG PEOPLE HOW TO SHOOT SAFELY.
Daisy's made a commitment to shooting education. And we've been working at it hard for more than 40 years. That's why, after 7 million people (and counting), Daisy holds the distinction as the company who teaches America how to shoot. Like no one else can. Like no one else does.
And along the way, we've also learned something about you, the American public, and what you feel about shooting sports. Daisy's met you on the target ranges. We've seen you in Boy Scout uniforms, at 4-H Club rallies. We've watched you take up shooting late in life. We've cheered when airgun shooting's helped you overcome physical disabilities.
We're proud of what you've accomplished. And we're equally proud Daisy's had a role in these accomplishments. But most of all, we're proud of the way Americans respond to the sport of airgun shooting. The sport truly offers something for everyone. An activity to enjoy. A chance to compete. The opportunity to excel.
As we expand our role in bringing shooting to Americans from all walks of life, we've kept one thing in mind. Shooting is very personal. It challenges the individual. It tests personal motivation. It hones the senses, sharpens the eye. Shooting focuses concentration. In a way, shooting makes winners of all of us.
By the same token, airgun shooting knows no limits. The star athlete is often no better than the child confined to a wheelchair. Because you, as a Daisy airgun shooter, set your own goals and impose your own limits. We can only offer a challenge and provide organized training. The opportunity for greatness is yours alone. Yet it's always there.
Right now Daisy's actively involved in training thousands of new airgun shooters. Some will become expert. Others will simply learn a fun, inexpensive sport they can enjoy throughout their lives. A sport they may share with their children, and grandchildren. That's our tradition.
One thing's for certain. Whatever your commitment to airgun shooting, Daisy will be there to help. If obstacles stand in your way, then Daisy's going to make every effort to tear those obstacles down. We believe in the sport. In its potential, in its rewards. And for more than a century we've offered safe shooting to everyone in America, everywhere.
We hope you'll take the Daisy challenge and become part of our shooting team. We'll be there beside you, making the sport as challenging and rewarding as it possibly can be. We're committed. To you. And to shooting sports. Because when you place that first round through the target's center, we all win.

AT DAISY, WE BUILD ON OUR REPUTATION BY TEACHING PROPER GUN HANDLING AND SAFETY FIRST.
THE DAISY/U.S. JAYCEES' SHOOTING EDUCATION/COMPETITION
Since 1965, Daisy and The U.S. Jaycees have cosponsored a program that begins with shooting education in local hometowns and ends with an international event. Today, more than 2,000 Jaycee chapters across our country conduct supervised classes to teach boys and girls age 10-14 proper gun handling and marksmanship (a total of 250,000 kids annually). Beyond the local shooting education activities, kids can go on to compete in state and regional competitions. Then, each year, those winners are brought together for the International BB Gun Championship Match – the oldest and largest continuous airgun competition in the world. 4-H Club Shooting Sports Programs
Each year, more than 100,000 4-H youths are taught the proper handling of airguns, small bore and black powder rifles, shotguns, and archery equipment through the 4-H Shooting Sports Program. In support of these rograms, Daisy attends regional 4-H workshops to assist in the training of marksmanship program instructors. Daisy is proud to support the 4-H Shooting Sports. Please contact your local County Extension Office for information on how you can become involved.
National Guard Junior Marksmanship Program
Patterned along the lines of Daisy programs, the National Guard has developed a marksmanship training and competition program for youngsters 14 and older.
There are three parts to the program
- The Basic Marksmanship Course (BMC)
- A Four Position Qualification Course
- The Position Air Rifle Tournament
Any recognized youth activity (school or club) with responsible adult leadership can sign up for all or part of the Junior Marksmanship Program. The National Guard will provide the required training material and the recognition items to all affiliated youth organizations at no charge.
The Avanti Legend (Model 853) air rifle, which meets the Guard's rigid standards, is the most frequently used airgun in these training classes. Thousands of young men and women in the National Guard's youth marksmanship training programs are discovering the thrill of shooting sports with Daisy airguns.
New Programs
Airgun shooting is growing as a sport because participants don't have to be athletes to excel. Size, speed, age, and strength are not requirements for a shooter's success. It simply takes concentration, discipline and determination. Besides, it's fun!
Most of all, airgun shooting is an all-season sport that can be done indoors or out. And it's an inexpensive activity to begin and maintain.
Truly, airgun shooting is an equal opportunity sport for men and women, boys and girls that instills a sense of pride, confidence and achievement for literally hundreds of thousands, young and old alike - the Daisy way.
As an individual, if you're interested in acquiring details on safe handling and shooting, email or write Daisy.
